CNBC personality Dennis Kneale presented a less-than-sophisticated analysis of why the recession is over, and writers in the "blogosphere" attacked him, calling him "irritating and unwatchable."

Kneale responded on air by calling them "cynical, mean-spirited," and "cowardly."
