Venezuela lurches towards total gov't control... Chavez seizing food companies

Fidel Castro-wannabe Hugo Chavez is tightening his grip on the commanding heights of Venezuela's economy. The lunatic is expropriating rice production facilities of U.S.-based Cargill. Chavez is also looking at taking control of Empresas Polar SA, Venezuela's largest privately owned company. Chavez believes the theft will halt food price inflation, which is skyrocketing.

Inflation in Venezuela is the highest in Latin America, which is saying something. Soon we'll be calling the place Vene-zimbabwe.
