It's truly a sign of the times when one of the country's leading business schools invites the financial world's greatest villain to address its graduating class.

On May 17 at 5:30 p.m., Ponzi schemer Bernie Madoff will address Wharton's Class of 2009 via videoconference.

Wharton Dean Thomas Robertson backed up his controversial choice in an e-mail... "He is still a suitable choice because he stands for the harsh realities of the business world. We want our students to undertake ambitious endeavors upon graduation, but we also want to show them that even the most visionary men can end up behind bars if they aren't careful."
