By Daily Crux Editor Brian Hunt:

A few years ago, friend and fellow war/history buff David Galland (Casey Research) turned me onto the "War Nerd."

The War Nerd writes a war column for the website www.exiledonline.com. He's a fantastic writer and wit. He has an encyclopedic knowledge of war and history. In most of his columns, you can learn, laugh, and wince in the same paragraph.

Nerd has an unconventional view on America's huge and expensive fleet of aircraft carriers. Instead of giant floating fortresses, Nerd sees them as giant floating coffins. In the next war, they will be liabilities, not assets. You can read his full view in this article.

The Nerd just updated his controversial view on carriers. He recently read one of the most disturbing reports in years. And he's more convinced than ever that in the next skirmish, America's aircraft carriers will be destroyed faster than you can say, "ballistic missile."

We can also whole-heartedly recommend the War Nerd's book. It's great reading. You can buy it on Amazon here.
