In an interview with The Oregonian, newsletter writer Dennis Gartman called Warren Buffett "an idiot" for the 45% drop in Berkshire Hathaway stock.

Gartman has since rescinded the comment on CNBC, but still said Buffett made some "terrible mistakes." To Gartman's credit, he is actively shorting Berkshire Hathaway.
