A man who bought an Oceanside, California home for $1 and moved it to his Rainbow, California residence, is now giving his recent purchase away for free.

Hayden Perrine originally intended to connect the new house to his existing abode, but San Diego permits are making the job too expensive... "To do everything they're asking me to do to this structure and put the foundation in to code and to secure it to the existing home, it would cost me about $60,000," Perrine said.

Perrine bought the home for $1 after the city of Oceanside offered several homes at that price to buyers who agreed to pay to move the house. His home is now on Craigslist for free. The buyer must pay to move the house and do the county-mandated restorations.
