We get a good amount of hate mail for picking on Barack Obama. While we take issue with his dream of a massively expanded federal government, we find ourselves picking on him not out of any particular dislike for the man or his political party... but simply because he's the one in charge right now. For the record, we think Democrats and Republicans are equally inept and venal.

But here's our latest "pick" on Obama: Several of the claims he makes when demonizing the insurance industry are ridiculous. This WSJ piece takes a close look at the examples he uses to find failure in the insurance industry… including his attacks on Alabama's situation. We're no big supporters of the insurance industry, but we'd rather see our leaders base policies on actual facts instead of outright bulls**t.
