ACORN shut down: Congress bans taxpayer funding

Yesterday, the House of Representatives voted 345-75 to ban federal funding of the shady "community organizer" group ACORN, joining the Senate in a move we call "overdue."

We're glad Congress decided it's inappropriate to give our tax dollars to a group of radical socialists recently busted in a child-prostitution sting.

Two "keep funding these guys" of note are suspected criminal Charles Rangel, Chairman of the Ways and Means Committee, and Henry Waxman, sponsor of the "cap and trade" boondoggle. Barney Frank – a long-time supporter of ACORN, couldn't make it to the vote.
