BREAKOUT: Crude oil hits new 2009 high

From The Financial Times:

US crude oil prices hit their highest level of the year on Wednesday, while gold extended its record-breaking run and agricultural commodities made further gains amid weather concerns.

US oil prices breached the $75 a barrel mark with Nymex November West Texas Intermediate hitting $75.40 before easing back to trade $1 higher at $75.15 a barrel.

ICE November Brent crude reached $73.45 a barrel and later traded...
