The Wall Street Journal is continuing its outstanding series of opinion pieces on the pending health care legislation.

Today's must-read article discusses one of the least examined but most dangerous aspects of the proposal: the creation of a global Medicare budget and an unelected commission with the power to decide what gets covered and how it gets paid for... in other words, a "health care rationing commission."

This would create a fundamental change in U.S. health care... replacing physician discretion with bureaucratic mandate.
