Mainstream media corrupted: Time magazine's absurd fawning over Bernanke

By now you will have heard that Time magazines Man of the Year is none other than Wrong Way Bernanke. On hearing the news, Bud Conrad wrote the following email message.

This is truly depressing and confirms the corruption of mainstream media, IMO. Here is the guy who did more than anybody, except perhaps Greenspan, to engineer our current depression in 2002 by cutting rates to 1%, resulting in the housing bubble, and then claimed there was no housing bubble. He then went on record saying the subprime crisis is "contained, and violated the Federal Reserve Act by buying toxic waste not guaranteed by the federal government.

I doubt anyone has the time to parse his stone-walling of Jim Bunning's request for information on what the Fed is doing with $2 trillion, but it is here:

Lies, cover-ups, and damned lies and this isn't statistics.

If Time magazine had any credibility remaining, and it doesnt have much, this latest selection pretty well puts a stake in it.
