Markopolos is a financial analyst and fraud accountant who risked his reputation - and his safety - to repeatedly warn the Securities and Exchange Commission that Bernie Madoff was running a Ponzi scheme. He kept at it for 9 years... yet he was ignored again and again.

It's is a fantastic read, and presents a stunning example of the incompetence and conflicts of interest that are all too common at our nation's supposed financial regulators.
