Oilman T. Boone Pickens down 97%, dumps the kitchen sink

T. Boone Pickens is the poster boy of the 2002-2008 oil boom. The old Texas oilman made over a billion dollars by managing hedge fund money dedicated to oil and gas.

T. Boone ain't doing so well these days though. Oil is down 75% from its 2008 high. Filings show one Pickens fund has liquidated nearly all of its holdings in the last quarter. Huge positions in Occidental Petroleum, Transocean, and Schlumberger have been sold. His firm declined to comment.
