Stimulus provision slashes health insurance costs for the unemployed

A provision in the stimulus bill will allow the government to cover 65% of Cobra premiums for unemployed workers. Most people don't elect to remain on their former employer's health care coverage because it costs an arm and a leg. The subsidy will cover those who lost their job between September 2008 and December 2009.
